Dragons continue to excel on day two of swimming championships

Tiffin University's men's swim team finished day two of the G-MAC/Mountain East Championships with Miguel Garcia hitting a provisional B cut in the 400 IM prelims.
 
The Dragons remained in second place at the meet after day two, solidifying their position with 655 points. The University of Findlay leads the meet with 767 while West Virginia Wesleyan College is third with 467.5 points.
 
Garcia hit an NCAA B provisional mark and set another meet record in the 400 IM prelims (4:00.31) and he posted a time of 4:05.69 in the 400 IM final. Garcia also posted another win in 100 butterfly in 49.74.
 
Nick De Robles placed 2nd in the 200 free in 1:41.49. and Yun Hung Tan also finished 2nd in 100 butterfly (50.90) while also finishing 8th in 200 free. Jonah Sumfleth finished 3rd in the 200 free in 1:42.29.
 
Aubin Dulin finished 6th in 400 IM in 4:14.18, while Christoph Hohenfeld finished 7th in the 100 butterfly.  
 
The Dragons won in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, as the team of Christoph Hohenfeld, Sumfleth, Tan, and De Robles posted a time of 3:22.81. TU also placed 5th in the 200 Yard Free Relay, as the team of Nathan Marr, Dulin, Matthew Laporte, and Seth Tessmer posted a time of 1:29.17.
 
Tiffin University's women's swim team placed 9th after day two of the G-MAC/Mountain East Championships with 141 points.
 
The University of Findlay is leading the event with 962 points with Hillsdale College is in second place with 715 points. 
 
In Tiffin's top showing on the day, Diamond Boyer won in 1-meter dive with 287.60 points.
 
Katie Tiell was 23rd in the 200 free, while the 400 medley relay finished 10th and the 200 free relay was 11th.
