Miguel Garcia was named G-MAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Garcia had a strong showing at the Malone Invitational, scoring three of the best season times for the Great Midwest/Mountain East in different events.
 
He was also very close to the NCAA "B" standard in the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM.
 
Garcia was second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.24. He won the 200-yard butterfly with a Malone Invitational meet record of 1:55.23 with 10 other swimmers in the field.
 
Garcia also touched the wall in second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:55.20. In both the 100-yard butterfly and 200 IM, he was second only to a Division I Kent State swimmer.
 
He was also part of a runner-up unit in the 200-yard medley relay with Sumfleth, Aubin Dulin and Christoph Hohenfeld. He also swam as part of a third-place group in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
