Tiffin University's Jan Suchan finished 12th in the 200 backstroke at the NCAA National Swimming Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center March 17.

Suchan, who entered as the 7th seed, placed 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 1:45.82, earning him a spot in the consolation finals. 

In the finals, Suchan touched the wall in 1:46.42, good for 12th place and Honorable Mention All American honors.

Earlier in the season Suchan had placed 4th at the GLIAC meet in a time of 1:47.83.
