Suchan, two others qualify for NCAA Swim Championships

Tiffin University's Jan Suchan was selected to participate in the NCAA National Swimming and Diving Championships held in Greensboro, North Carolina March 14-17.

Suchan was joined by two other Dragons, as Jordan Wright will compete in the Preliminary Qualification dive competition, and Catie Gorton was selected as an alternate in the 200 butterfly. 

Suchan currently has the 7th best time in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:45.62. He will enter as the seventh seed in the race. Only Harry Shalamon of Grand Valley State (3rd) has a better time amongst GLIAC swimmers.

Suchan, a freshman from Warsaw, Poland, will be joined by sophomore Jordan Wright of Newburgh, Indiana, who will compete in the 1 meter and 3 meter dive preliminary qualification round.

Gorton, a freshman from Oswego, New York, posted a 200 butterfly time of 2:04.88 to qualify as an alternate.
