Dragons hit two more B cuts on final day

Tiffin University picked up two more B cuts as the GLIAC Championships concluded at the Jenison Aquatic Center in Jenison, Michigan.

 

Jonah Sumfleth had a fourth place finish in the 100 free style in 45.56, while Jan Suchan also had a fourth place mark in the 200 back stroke in 1:47.83. Both results were NCAA B cuts, giving Sumfleth three B cuts at the conference meet.

Nickolai De Robles finished 11th in the 1650 in 16:41.60, the highest finish of the day for TU. The finish gave De Robles a Third Team All GLIAC honor.

Matthew Laporte was right behind in the 1650, taking 12th in 16:47.31. Nathan Marr also finished 15th for Tiffin in the 200 breaststroke.

The 400 free style relay team of Sumfleth, Suchan, Yun Hung Tan, and De Robles also had a fifth place finish.

For the women, the 400 free style relay team of Catie Gorton, Anastasiia Kvitchenko, Wixie Lehman, and Izzy Tarchione came in 6th place.
