TU continues competition at GLIAC Championships

Tiffin University continued on day two of the GLIAC Swimming and Diving Championships at Saginaw Valley State University with numerous swimmers continuing to post season best times.

After two days, the men's team is standing 5th of 7 teams with 137 points, while the women were 7th of 8 teams with 107.

The top finish of the day went to Anastasiia Kvitchenko, who took 4th in the 100 butterfly in 57.28.

Two men's events produced 5th place finishes. Lucas Merigue Bernardo was 5th in the 200 free in 1:40.08 (B cut) while the 400 medley relay team of James Keen, Petko Toromanov, Jonah Sumfleth, and Bernardo was also 5th in 3:22.64.

Sumfleth was also 6th in the 100 butterfly in 49.27 (B cut), while the men's 200 free relay team of Sumfleth, Toromanov, Bernardo, and Ygor Zanardo Borolato was 6th in 1:24.22.

Finally, Morgan Dunleavy placed 7th in the 1 meter diving event, and the women's 400 medley relay team of Wixie Lehman, Melinda Ulbrecht, Mari Johnson, and Brenda Oporto was 8th.
