Day 3 of GLIAC Championships concludes

Day 3 of GLIAC Championships concludes

Day Three concluded at the GLIAC Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Saginaw Valley State University, with Anastasiia Kvitchenko posting Tiffin's highest finish so far at the championships during competition.

Kvitchenko finished 2nd overall and hit a NCAA B cut in the 200 butterfly, posting a strong time of 2:04.45, trailing only Emily Bell of Northern Michigan, who won in a time of 2:03.05. The finish gave Kvitchenko a Second Team All GLIAC honor in the event, Tiffin's first All GLIAC honor of the championships.

Other top finishers on Day Three were Petko Toromanov, who finished 4th in the 100 breaststroke in 55.21 (B cut). Jonah Sumfleth also came in 6th and hit a B cut in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 49.37, while James Keen finished 8th.

The championships will conclude on Feb. 11. Currently TU's men are 5th of 7 teams with 204 points while the women are 7th of 8 teams with 158 points.
