Tiffin University (11-2-3) advanced to the G-MAC Semifinals with a gritty 2-1 win over Findlay in the G-MAC Quarterfinals.

The win puts Tiffin in position to host the G-MAC Final Four after finishing as regular season champion and holding the top seed entering the tourney.

After a tight first half, the Oilers got on the board first when a loose ball got away from Tiffin goalkeeper Felix Graf. Brendan Ash was quick to pounce on it and drill it into the back of the net in the 44th minute to put Findlay up at the half 1-0.

The Dragons responded quickly after the intermission, with Luke Alexander-Frost taking a nice centering pass from Malvin Gblah to equalize in the 50th minute.

The game remained close throughout the second half but the Dragons increased their assault on the net as they held a 9-4 second-half shot advantage.

Finally Alexander-Frost gave TU the gamewinner in the 84th minute off a rebounded shot from Chewe Mukuka.

The Dragons' defense was once again stingy, allowing just 4 total shots on goal in the game. Graf got the win in goal, making 3 saves over 90 minutes.

The Dragons held a 15-8 shot edge in the game.

Tiffin will now play on Nov. 9 against an opponent to be named.
