Dragons drop first G-MAC contest in closing seconds 2-1

Tiffin University (8-2-2, 7-1-2 G-MAC) gave up a goal with 31 seconds remaining, falling to Cedarville 2-1 on a windy and rainy day at Paradiso Fields.

The second half progressed in much the same fashion until the final 10:00. Cedarville's Michael Catanzarite lobbed a soft shot over the head of TU goalkeeper Felix Graf in the 82nd minute to give CU a 1-0 lead.

Sensing time running out, the Dragons rallied. They responded in the 85th minute when Noah Purtz sent a pass to the foot of Chewe Mukuka for the equalizer with just over 5:00 remaining.

TU kept the action in its offensive end until the Yellow Jackets got the ball back and streaked down the field on a 4-on-1 break. With just 31 seconds remaining, Trey McBride sent home a shot off a pass from Alex Long to give Cedarville the dramatic victory.

Overall TU outshot CU 16-9 but could only put 3 shots on goal.
