Tiffin University finished its regular season schedule with a 3-0 win over Northwood.

Tiffin University (10-3-3, 9-2-3 GMAC) won the 2022 GMAC regular season championship with a convincing 3-0 win over Northwood.

As a result of Tiffin's win and Ashland's 3-1 loss to Lake Erie, the Dragons also become the top seed in the GMAC Tournament, which they will host on Nov. 3 and 5 at Paradiso Fields.

Tiffin used a familiar formula to record the victory, playing stifling defense while keeping up the offensive pressure with a varied attack.

The Dragons' defense allowed just 2 shots on goal and outshot the Timberwolves 24-7, including 13-1 in the first half when they grabbed a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Michael Owusu got TU on the board in the 25th minute off a quick touch pass from his brother Stephen Owusu to make it 1-0.

TU posted another score just before the break when Pablo Leigh Valencia took a pass from Thierry van den Bergh and knocked it home for a 2-0 lead.

Stephen Owusu added an insurance goal in the 65th minute on an unassisted goal.

Declan Lehmann got another shutout in goal, making one save. This marks his 10th shutout of the season, second only to TU Hall of Famer Joe Geigle's 1987 mark of 13.

Tiffin also held a 17-2 edge in shots on goal along with a 10-2 mark on corner kicks.
