Dragons control tempo in 2-0 win over Cedarville

Tiffin University (4-2-1, 3-1-1 GMAC) controlled the tempo throughout the game against Cedarville, winning 2-0.

Both teams battled through a scoreless first half, but the Dragons outshot Cedarville 13-1 in the first 45 minutes.

The attack continued in the second half, with Juan Rosique Alvarez punching in a shot off the post from a cross from Malvin Gblah in the 62nd minute to put TU up 1-0.

TU's defense continued to keep the Yellow Jackets away from the goal, allowing just 2 shots in the second half. The offense tacked on an insurance goal in the 86th minute when Gblah knocked in a shot off a pass from Michael Owusu.

Overall TU outshot Cedarville 19-3 with 11 shots on goal. They also held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Declan Lehmann got the win in goal along with the shutout, making 3 saves in 90 minutes.
