The Tiffin University men's soccer team clinched a GMAC Championship Tournament berth with a 1-0 win over Ohio Dominican on Senior Day.

With the win and with Lake Erie beating Ashland the Dragons clinch the sixth spot in the GMAC Championship tournament.

The Dragons improve to 6-7-4 overall and 5-5-4 in the GMAC, while the Panthers fall to 9-5-3 overall and 8-4-2 in the GMAC.

The first half was a tight affair with neither team letting the other get any good scoring opportunities. The teams went into the half tied at 0-0 with the Dragons outshooting the Panthers 6-0 with one shot on target, and each team conceding one corner each.

Second-half adjustments worked for Tiffin as they scored within the first three minutes of play. George McCarthy received a pass from Michael Owusu at the top of the box and curled the ball into the far right corner of the net to take a 1-0 lead. It was just enough to keep the Dragons' season alive as the defense was able to keep a clean sheet to win 1-0.

Tiffin outshot Ohio Dominican 10-8 with all eight ODU shots coming in the second half. Tiffin had four shots on net compared to the Panthers' two, and each team had three corner kick opportunities in the game.

Declan Lehman got the win in goal, improving to 6-7-4. He registered two saves in 90 minutes to keep his fifth clean sheet of the year.
