A goal early in the second half proved too much for Tiffin University (1-3-1, 0-1-1 GMAC) to overcome, as the Dragons fell to Lake Erie 1-0.

Despite outshooting the Storm 6-3 at the half, the teams were deadlocked 0-0 at the break. Tiffin struggled to put the shots on goal, managing just one shot on goal for the half. Tiffin's defense only allowed one shot on goal as well heading to the second half.

TU allowed only three more shots to the Storm in the second half, but one of them found the back of the net. In the 54th minute, Ayden Von Essen took a pass from Tom Pearson and put it in the left corner to put Lake Erie on top 1-0.

TU outshot Lake Erie again in the second half, this time by an 8-3 margin, but managed only one shot on goal in the half.

Overall TU outshot the Storm 14-6 and held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Declan Lehman took the loss in goal, making one save over 90 minutes.
