Dragons pick up OT win at Ashland

Tiffin University (8-6-3, 6-4-2 GLIAC) jumped up to the 3rd seed in the upcoming GLIAC Tournament, picking up a hard-fought 3-2 overtime victory at Ashland in its regular season finale.

The Dragons led the whole game, fighting off two Ashland responses and picking up the win in the 99th minute on a goal by Marc Albert Feliu off a pass from Dylan O'Kane.

TU opened scoring in the 31st minute, as Omar Kamara took a pass from Alexander Wagener and put it in the corner of the net. Ashland equalized in the 40th minute off a free kick into the box.

The game remained close til late in regulation. Matthew Tait scored an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute to give TU the lead once again, but the Dragons could not hold it, as Ashland's Cameron Mendel scored an unassisted goal in the 88th minute to send the game to overtime.

Overall Ashland outshot TU 11-8, including a 9-4 margin in the second half, but TU held Ashland without a shot in overtime while taking two of their own. TU also won despite making no corner kicks (2-0).

Cary Wilson got the win in goal, making 5 saves and allowing 2 goals over 99 minutes.
