The Tiffin University men's soccer team has clinched a spot in the GLIAC Tournament, but one more win never hurt anybody. The Dragons' competition on Friday, the Ashland Eagles, are battling for their postseason lives, holding a slim half game lead for the final spot.

Series Record: These two squads are neck and neck since both began competing in the GLIAC. The record over the course of the series is 5-5-2 with Tiffin holding a 2-1 lead over the past two seasons.

Last Matchup: The Dragons hammered the Eagles at home in early October 4-1. Tiffin held an advantage in shots and shots on goal. Cary Wilson collected four saves in the win, getting plenty of offensive help.

Dragons: Tiffin has had a slow October, sitting 3-4-1 in the month. The Dragons have been outscored 14-11 in the month, and are 3-2-1  at home. In the GLIAC, Tiffin is 5th in goals, 4th in assists, tied for 3rd in points, and 5th in goals per game. Defensively, the Dragons are 3rd in goals allowed, 5th in goals allowed per game, and 2nd in saves.

Eagles: Ashland is struggling down the stretch, posting a 3-6-1 record. Offensively the Eagles have fared well, sitting 3rd in goals, 3rd in goals scored per game, 3rd in assists, and 3rd in points. Defense has been the real issue, as Ashland has allowed the most goals, the most goals per game, and recorded the most saves in the GLIAC.

Must Win: The Eagles are on the postseason bubble right now, needing to win or needing Northern Michigan to lose to clinch the final GLIAC Tournament spot. The Eagles are 2-8-1 in the GLIAC and 7-8-1 overall.

Players To Watch:

Thomas Ardon: Leading the Eagles in goals, Ardon leads Ashland in shots, shots on goal, and is second in points.

Justin Libertowski: The freshman leads Ashland in points with 15, scoring the second most goals on the team, and leading the Eagles in assists with five.
