The Dragons have a long trip coming this weekend, matching up with Northern Michigan and Northwood.

The Tiffin University men's soccer team will have a long road ahead of them this weekend, as their travels will take them from Tiffin to Marquette, Michigan for a Friday tilt with Northern Michigan University. The Dragons will then turn south for a Sunday match with Northwood.

Tiffin University vs. Northern Michigan University

Series Record: The Dragons are 1-1 against the Wildcats.

Last Matchup: As a first year program, the Wildcats fared well against the Dragons, beating Tiffin on their home turf 2-1 and then falling to the Dragons 2-1 in Marquette.

Tail Spin: The Wildcats have dropped four straight games after a 3-1 win over Marygrove on September 10. In the four losses, Northern Michigan has been outscored 9-1.

More Shots Are Needed: The Wildcats are dead last in the GLIAC in shots per game. Averaging only 7.1, the Wildcats are next to last in total goals. Nationally, Northern Michigan ranks 199th of 205 teams in shots per game.

Physical Play: Northern Michigan leads the GLIAC in two categories that they probably don't want to. The Wildcats are 1st in fouls and red cards. Nationally, they are 33rd in fouls per game and 1st in red cards.

Tiffin University vs. Northwood University

Series Record: The Dragons hold a 12-8-3 series lead over the Timberwolves.

James Vaughan – Leading Northwood in goals with five, Vaughan also leads the team in points, shots, and shots on goal.

Tiffin: It looked as if the Dragons had lost their game against Saginaw Valley last Friday, but a goal with less than five minutes remaining tied the score 2-2. After two 10 minute overtimes, neither side could break the tie.

The Goals Will Come: The Dragons are having no problem throwing shots on goal, sitting 41st in the nation in shots on goal per game at 7.25 per contest. Whether the shots go in is a different story, as the Dragons are 111th nationally in scoring offense.
