Three Dragons land All Ohio honors

Three Tiffin University men's soccer players were honored on the Division II/NAIA All Ohio squad.

Andre Landell landed a First Team citation, continuing his string of post-season honors. Kangni Gabianou and Scott Byrom were also recognized with Second Team awards.

It has been an eventful postseason for Landell in terms of accolades. He was earlier named a D2 CCA All-American, the second time Landell has earned an All-American honor. Andre led the Dragons in goals (16), assists (8), and points (40). Nationally, Landell finished 13th in total goals, 33rd in assists, and 13th in total points. He was also named CCA Region Player of the Year as well as NSCAA Midwest Second Team All Region.

In his career, Andre is a four time All-GLIAC selection, three time NSCAA All-Region selection, and a NSCAA 3rd team All-American. He accounted for 38 career goals, 26 assists, and 102 points in his career. Andre ranks 10th all-time in the Tiffin University record book in career goals, 11th in career assists, and 10th in career points. Since Tiffin University began competing at the NCAA Division II level in 2008, Landell is the career leader in assists, and ranks behind only Ashton Campbell in career goals and points.

Gabianou, one of TU's top defensive players, earlier landed Player of the Week, ALL-GLIAC Tournament Team, and All-GLIAC 1st team honors. Byrom has also been recognized multiple times, with his efforts placing him on the ALL-GLIAC 1st Team and the NCAA DII CCA Midwest Region 2nd Team.
