Johan Widal finished tied for 15th in the 108-man field at the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional at Winona, Minnesota.

Widal shot 73 in the final round, five shots off his blistering round-two score of 68 but good enough to jump five spots overall. After finishing tied for 20th after round two, he finished with a three-round score of 218. He was four strokes behind the minimum individual qualifying score.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional advance to the finals, May 22-26 at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio.
