Tiffin University had a strong opening day at the Glenmoor Invitational at Canton, Ohio.

The Dragons held a narrow two-stroke lead over Hillsdale 562 to 564. Malone was third with 577, followed closely by McKendree with 578.

The Dragons opened strong with a first-round score of 283 but then improved it by four strokes in round two to finish with 279.

All five Dragons placed in the Top 12, including the leader Johan Widal who shot 140 off rounds of 71 and 69 to place 5th.

Mitchell Brassard was 6th overall with a blistering first-round 68 followed by 73 for 141, while Matt Flynn and Justin Hand were tied for 7th with identical rounds of 72 and 70 for 142. David Siegel shot 74 and 70 to finish with 144, good for 12th place.
