Jacob Miller has resigned as Head Coach of the Tiffin University men's golf program, with Cameron McCloskey taking over the program as Head Coach.

McCloskey recently finished his first year as an assistant coach for the men's golf program, helping to lead the team to a GMAC Championship. He was a member of the team from 2016-21. During his time at TU, Cam achieved Academic All American honors 3 seasons and was named to the GMAC All-Conference team during his last season, posting a 74.42 season average (8th best all-time).

McCloskey completed undergraduate school at Tiffin University in the spring of 2020 with a degree in Finance and minors in Accounting and Sport Management. He also holds a master's degree in Finance.

"I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to become the Head Men's Golf Coach at Tiffin University, my Alma Mater," said McCloskey. "After playing at TU for five seasons, and coaching for one, I grew to appreciate what it means to be a Dragon. I would like to say thank you to the previous coaches of this program for all they have done to build TU Men's Golf into what it is today. With the experience I have gained both playing and coaching at Tiffin University I am certain that I will have a positive impact on these young men on the course, in the classroom, and in life. I am excited to see what the future holds for Tiffin University Men's Golf."

"I would like to thank Jacob Miller for his four years of leadership for our men's golf program," said Athletic Director Lonny Allen. "He took a program that has been on the rise and elevated it to even new heights. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. With that being said, I am so excited to keep the program's leadership in-house with the naming of Cameron McCloskey as the new head men's golf coach. Cam will add fire and consistency to the program that will take it to even a higher level. Being an alum, there is no better leader for our program. I look forward to Cam's and our program's progress on the national stage. We often say "Dragon For Life", and this is the epitome of that statement. I can't wait to witness how Cam elevates this program."

Miller, who will explore other coaching opportunities, coached the Dragons for the last four seasons. Miller was named GMAC Coach of the Year after leading the Dragons to the GMAC Championship in 2021-22. This marked the first GMAC title for Miller, with the team setting a new school record with a 295.3 average, breaking the old mark of 296.03 set in 2014-15.

His 2021-22 team tied or broke a total of seven school records. During Miller's tenure, the Dragons recorded four of the top six single-season team scoring averages in school history.

"I want to thank Lonny Allen and his staff for giving me the opportunity to lead this program over the last four seasons," said Miller. "It's been an honor being able to lead these young men and grow these lifelong relationships through the game of golf. Being able to have one of your former players and assistant coaches pick up right where you left off is a dream come true. Cameron McCloskey bleeds green and gold and is the perfect man for the job. Saying goodbye to this program at the end of this month is going to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. However, I know this team will be in the right hands with Coach McCloskey."
