Darkness ends day one of Kyle Ryman Memorial with TU in 3rd

A fog delay early ultimately led to a halt due to darkness with a couple holes remaining in round one, as Tiffin University finished the day in 3rd place at the Kyle Ryman Memorial.

A competitive 16 team field got a late start due to the fog. Findlay took off like a rocket once play started, though, finishing day one with a 281 total. Hillsdale was next wiith 289 while the Dragons finished with 291. Indianapolis was right behind with 292 while TU's B squad was also in the mix, finishing 5th with 297.

Tiffin's top five golfers were also within 8 strokes of each other. Nico Kyprian and Noah Barth were tied for 7th with rounds of 71. Cameron McCloskey shot 74, with Britton Hensel on his heels with 75. David Siegel finished with 79.

The B squad also had some standout performances. Brandon Azzi and Matt Flynn tied for 10th with scores of 72. Justin Hand shot 75, while Colton Vincelette fired 78 and Cameron Casto shot 80.

Golfing as individuals, Shayne DeWitt and Cole Cisco both shot 81.

Play will conclude on Oct. 6 with teams finishing their remaining round one holes and then moving straight into the second round.
