Tiffin University was in the hunt after the first round of the Motor City Invitational, placing 4th of 16 teams.

Wayne State held the top spot with 294, while Findlay was next with 305. Davenport finished third in the crowded field with 306, while the Dragons trailed by two strokes with 308.

Britton Hensel was one of three Dragons in the Top 15, finishing 6th after day one with 73. Noah Barth and Cameron McCloskey tied for 15th with scores of 77.

Bringing up the rear for TU was Nico Kyprian with 81 and David Siegel with 82.
