Tiffin University was just five strokes off the lead at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational played at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky.

Saginaw Valley State led the event with 277 while Tiffin was right behind with 282. Trevecca Nazarene was third with 284.

Noah Barth led the Dragons with 66, while the team displayed a good pack score as the next four golfers were all within four strokes of each other. Tomas Krivanec shot 71, while Jay Green had 72. Jordan Bollenbacher fired a 73 and Logan Price had 75 after day one.

Cameron McCloskey also shot a 70 as an individual.
