Dragons finish 3rd at GLIAC Championships

Tiffin University's men's golf team shot their best round of the tourney, tying Grand Valley State for the best round of the day, in finishing 3rd of 13 teams at the GLIAC Championships.

The Dragons shot 297 on the day, 8 strokes better than their round two score, in finishing with 904 overall. Grand Valley State won the tourney with a blistering 890, while Ferris State was second with 901.

The Dragons were led by Jordan Bollenbacher, who improved each day (76-74-72) to finish with 222, while Tomas Krivanec was right behind and made a huge jump in the final round, chopping 10 strokes off his previous day's score with a low of 69 to finish with 223 (75-79-69).

Jay Green fired 230, holding steady with a 75 in round three, but TU could not get significant improvement from their final two scorers, as Tyler Schepens dropped from 78 to 81 to finish with 235 and Brett Green fell back a stroke from 83 to 84 after a solid 75 on day one (242 overall score).
