Tiffin University's men's golf team finished in 6th place after day one of the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate at the Golf Club on Fleming Island in Florida. The team played two rounds with one more to come on Feb. 14.
TU opened with a 305 score in round one but cut 14 strokes off that score to finish with 291 in round two. They trail 28th-ranked Flagler and 18th ranked Lincoln Memorial by 20 strokes. Young Harris is just 4 strokes off the leader's pace, but the Dragons are right on the heels of 22nd ranked Belmont Abbey (5 strokes behind) and 49th ranked Palm Beach Atlantic (3 strokes back).
Jay Green leads the Dragons in 19th place, shooting rounds of 77 and 70. Brett Green was second for TU, firing 76 and 72, while Tomas Krivanec shot 77 and 73. Rounding out the field for TU was Jordan Bollenbacher (75-76) and Tyler Schepens (79-79).
