Tiffin falls in narrow battle to Yellow Jackets 67-64

Tiffin University (9-13, 6-8 G-MAC) fought from behind all day but could not stay ahead at the final buzzer, falling to Cedarville 67-64.

With the game tied 11-11, Cedarville went on a 14-4 early in the first half to pull ahead 25-15. They maintained that margin for most of the half, entering halftime with a 37-30 lead.

In the second half, with Cedarville leading 50-43, the Dragons went on an 11-2 run that pushed them ahead 54-52. The two teams battled back and forth over the final 4:00. 

With TU trailing 64-62 with 10 seconds left, an open three-point shot just missed. After subsequent free throws by Cedarville, TU had another last second attempt to tie and send it to overtime but it also missed the mark.

Cedarville held a big edge from three-point land, hitting 10 shots to Tiffin's 4. They also held a 13-6 free throw edge and a 44-24 scoring advantage in the paint.

Joshua Rivers posted a double-double, scoring 18 points with 12 rebounds. Wesley Jordan finished with 14 points, while Carius Key also reached double figures with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Ian Lopez had 8 points and Morgan Taylor added 7.
