Men’s Basketball End Regular Season with Hillsdale, Findlay

The Tiffin University men's basketball team will take on two GMAC opponents this week. First, they travel to Hillsdale on Thursday, February 24, with the game set to start at 7:30 p.m. Then, Tiffin hosts Findlay for Senior Day on Saturday, February 26, with a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.

Dragon Details:

The Dragons went 0-2 last week against GMAC opponents.

Tylin Lockett-Fuller leads the team with 13.3 points shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from three-point range, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.5 steals, Morgan Taylor scores 13.1 points shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from beyond the arc, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.0 steals, and Trent Williams records 11.6 points shooting 36.8 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from three-point range, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

 

Scouting the Chargers:

The Chargers went 2-0 last week in conference play with wins over Lake Erie.

Hillsdale's offense is led by Patrick Cartier who averages 22.0 points shooting 64.4 percent from the field, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.9 steals, Austen Yarian scores 10.3 points shooting 42.6 percent from the field, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 0.8 blocks, and Kyle Goessler registers 8.9 points shooting 38.5 percent from the field, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.  

The Chargers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 29-6, with their last meeting coming on January 15, 2022 when the Chargers won 96-69.

 

Scouting the Oilers:

The Oilers went 1-1 last week with a win over Lake Erie and a double-overtime loss to Walsh.

Findlay's offense is led by Nathan Bruns who averages 14.3 points shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 7.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals, Anthony Masterlasco scores 12.5 points shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 44.3 percent from three-point territory, 4.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals, and Tre'Maien Gray records 12.0 points shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.25 steals per game.

The Oilers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 51-8, with the last meeting coming on Jan. 13, 2022 when the Oilers won 88-81.
