Dragon Details:

Tiffin has hit a rough patch as of late as they attempt to break a four-game losing streak when they take on the Battlers Thursday evening.

Despite the struggles, the Dragons still continue to rank second in the conference with 81.6 points per game and third with a +2.95 turnover margin.

Individually, Jairus Stevens is now third in the GMAC with 17.4 points per game and seventh with 7.2 rebounds per game. He also ranks seventh with a 52.3 field goal percentage.

A pair of freshmen are also having good first seasons with TU as Trent Williams averages 10.7 points per game and 2.8 assists per game while Wesley Jordan averages 10.6 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Scouting the Battlers:

Alderson Broaddus did not have much success in the nonconference with a 1-7 record but have been slightly better in GMAC play at 3-6, with wins coming over Ohio Valley, Trevecca Nazarene, and Kentucky Wesleyan. As a team, the Battlers are third in the conference in both three-point percentage at 35.8% and free throw percentage at 74.5%.

The Battlers and Dragons last played on Feb. 28 a season ago, with Tiffin taking an 81-70 road victory. Thomas Hickman had 17 points off the bench for TU, while Malik Bocook had 10 for the Battlers.

Bocook leads the team and ranks 11th in the conference with 16.3 points per game and is sixth in the GMAC with 7.5 rebounds per game. KJ Walker is second on the team with 14.1 points per game and fifth in the conference with 4.3 assists per game, while David Shriver is eighth in the GMAC with a 38.9% three-point rate.

Scouting the Panthers:

Ohio Dominican has had an up-and-down conference run, going 4-5 with strong wins over Hillsdale and Cedarville but tough losses to Malone and Kentucky Wesleyan.

The last matchup between ODU and TU came on Jan. 26 in Tiffin, with the Panthers taking an 83-69 win. ODU's Hasan Varence led all scorers with 20 points while pulling down eight rebounds, while Hickman had 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals for the Dragons.

Varence is the Panthers' go-to guy, as he leads the team and ranks second in the conference with 18.1 points per game and third with 8.9 rebounds per game. Sam Hickey is next with 16.5 points per game, followed by Michael Scott at 10.8 points per game. Scott is also second in the GMAC at 5.4 assists per game and fourth with a 2.7 assist-to-turnover ratio.
