Dragon Details:

Tiffin will be honoring five senior student-athletes before Saturday's game in Austin Adams, Shane Waldon, Terrell Mabins, Hunter Schmalz, and Luke Rightnowar

The Dragons nearly pulled off an upset of Cedarville a week ago, leading by one with under five minutes remaining, but the Yellow Jackets got to the foul line multiple times down the stretch to hold on for an 86-80 win. Five Dragons were in double figures led by Austin Adams' 18. Shane Waldon had 15 points and eight boards, while Joshua Williams added 14 points. Hunter Schmalz (11 points, three triples) and Thomas Hickman (12 points) also made good contributions off the bench.

Scouting the Storm:

Lake Erie has all but secured a berth in the GMAC postseason, currently sitting sixth in the conference at 10-6 and winners of five of their last seven. The Storm's calling card is defense, as they are third in the GMAC at 67.1 points allowed per game, second with a 42.4% field goal defense, second with 7.88 steals per game, and fifth with 3.54 blocks per game. The aforementioned Gabe Kynard leads the team in scoring at 18.5 per game (third in conference), is sixth with 1.6 steals per game, and fifth with 32.8 minutes per game. Erron James is also third with 1.8 steals per contest.

Record Watch:

Senior big man Shane Waldon is hovering around the top-five of the Tiffin men's basketball single-season field goal percentage records, as his current mark of 59.8% is fifth, with the record being 66.4% set by Rich Torrence during the 1992-93 season. Despite playing just three seasons in a Dragon uniform, Austin Adams has moved into tenth all-time at TU in career rebounding with 606 boards, 31 away from ninth-place. Adams is also on track to finish near the top of the Tiffin career field goal percentage ranks, as the senior currently ranks seventh with a career mark of 54.5% from the field. Joshua Williams has been impressive at getting to the free throw line in his first season with the Dragons, as he is 10 makes and one attempt from entering the single-season top-10 lists at TU.
