Tiffin University vs. Purdue University Northwest

Series Record: The Dragons have never battled the Pride before, but have played against the two institutions that combined to form Purdue University Northwest. It has been some time since the last matchup, dating back to December 31, 2011. In that game, Tiffin defeated Purdue Calumet 84-74 at the Old Fort Bank Court.

Last Time Out: The Dragons were magnificent their last time out, clobbering Michigan Tech University 86-68 in Houghton, Michigan. The great balance between perimeter points and paint points were key, scoring 27 points from beyond the arc and 34 points in the paint.

Brown Inching Closer: Alex Brown has already eclipsed 1,000 career points earlier this year, becoming the 31st player in Tiffin history to do so. Currently he has 1,126 career points, ranking 22nd in Tiffin history, needing 26 more points to move to 21st. Brown has 467 career rebounds, sitting 17th in Tiffin history. Brown will move to 16th with four more boards. Brown is 7th all-time in career steals with 130, needing ten more to move to 6th. If Brown can reach 500 career rebounds, he would be only the 9th player in Tiffin history to accrue 1,000-points and 500 rebounds. Alex can also become the first player in Tiffin history to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds, and dish out 200 career assists.

Defensive Troubles: The Pride's defense has allowed 90 or more points in seven games this year. Allowing 83.4 points per game, the Pride sit 1-14 overall and 1-6 in the GLIAC. Opponents are hitting 48.9% of their field goal attempts, last in the GLIAC. Purdue Northwest is last or next to last in 10 different statistical categories.

Off The Schneid: The Pride finally got into the win column this past weekend, defeating Northwood University 55-52 on Saturday, claiming their first GLIAC win and first victory as a NCAA Division II program.
