The Tiffin University men's basketball team worked hard this past fall, preparing for their upcoming season. Along with working on the hardwood, the team put in the hours in the classroom, showcasing their highest fall GPA in the last eight years, a 3.07 total team grade point average. Of the 15 varsity athletes, 11 carried a 3.20 or higher GPA in the fall, including five athletes with a 3.50 or higher. Prior to Coach Buccilla's tenure at Tiffin University, the Dragons carried a 2.46 GPA during the fall of 2012.

Buccilla had this to say of the Dragons' success, "This team has worked extremely hard on their academic progress, and I am very proud of the continued success we see in the classroom with each passing season. Our focus is to not only prepare these men for the next game, but to prepare them for a career that lies beyond basketball."
