Tiffin's Jesse Connell has been named G-MAC Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Connell had 8 tackles with a sack and 2 tackles for loss in Tiffin's 55-30 win over Ashland. He led a defense that held the Eagles to just 3 for 12 on third-down conversions.

Connell currently leads the Dragons with 21 tackles for the season along with a sack, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2 fumble recoveries.

The Dragons improved to 4-0, 2-0 in the conference. They now travel to Thomas More for another G-MAC showdown Sept. 30 at 7 pm.
