Tiffin University (4-2, 4-0 GMAC) posted a dominant defensive performance in a 41-0 shutout of Hillsdale, remaining unbeaten in conference play.

TU amassed a 21-0 lead in the first half and totaled 41 points before the end of the third quarter. They held a 21-6 lead in first downs and outgained the Chargers 419-164 including 236 to 97 in rushing yards. They also did not allow a single third-down conversion in the game, holding Hillsdale to an 0 for 12 mark.

The Dragons got on the board in the first quarter, with Darius Pinnix scoring on a 16 yard rush at the 9:12 mark for the only score of the period.

After a 23-yard pass completion to Jalen Thomas got the Dragons inside the Hillsdale 5-yard line, Christian Carter rushed it in from 5 yards out for the next TU score at the 14:13 mark of the second quarter.

Midway through the second quarter, TU took over at the 50-yard line. Pinnix then busted out a 45-yard run to once again put the Dragons near the goal line. Carter rushed in another 5-yard TD scamper to make it 21-0 at the 6:18 mark.

The Dragons made a statement on Hillsdale's first possession of the second half, as Mark Woods picked off a Hillsdale pass and ran it into the end zone from 20 yards out to push TU's lead to 28-0.

The Dragons scored again on their next offensive series, with Carter hitting Josh Lewis on a big 48-yard pass play at the 8:37 mark for a 35-0 lead.

TU finished its scoring at the 3:46 mark of the third quarter when Devin Nelson ran it in from 17 yards out, capping an 8-play, 66-yard drive.

The Dragons' defense held Hillsdale to just 4 for 13 passing, giving the Dragons a nearly 10-minute advantage in time of possession.

Pinnix led Tu's offense with 116 yards rushing on 13 carries, while Nelson had 69 yards on 10 carries. Carter completed 14 of 21 passes for 183 yards with no interceptions, with Anthony Lowe getting 61 yards and Lewis 60 yards receiving.

Defensively Charlie Cleveland had a big day, posting 9 tackles with a sack and 2 tackles for loss.

Sir Zion Dance, Patrick Tueimeh, and Chrystian Watkins all had 6 tackles apiece, while Jermaine Wimpye, Zeke Brown, and Zion Farmer followed with 5 tackles each.
