Tiffin University landed in the top spot in the annual  Great Midwest Athletic Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour, selected by vote of the conference coaches.

Tiffin grabbed six first-place votes in the balloting for a total of 48 points and secured the championship trophy at Frost-Kalnow Stadium with an undefeated 6-0 record in the delayed spring season.

Head Coach Cris Reisert has a 15-2 record since the Dragons joined the Great Midwest as a full member in 2018-19. He is unbeaten in all league games with an unblemished mark of 12-0 while taking his program in the fall ranked at No. 19 in the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll.

The Dragons, who have won back-to-back GMAC Championships, return nearly everyone from last year's team including GMAC Player of the Year QB Nick Watson and Offensive Lineman of the Year center Trent Clark. The conference's leading rusher, Marcus Davis, also returns at running back along with First Team WR Anthony Lowe. Overall TU led the GMAC with 423.3 yards per game.

Defensively the Dragons will also look to dominate, with GMAC Defensive Lineman of the Year Charlie Cleveland leading the attack. Other First Team picks back on defense include DL Latrell Robinson, linebackers Brandon Burks and Marshawn Mankins, and DB Kevin Hyde. All starters return for the GMAC's top defensive unit (8.7 points per game, 208.2 yards per game allowed).
