TU earns title at Lake Erie

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team came in first place out of twelve teams on Sunday, February 11th. The equestrian team edged out four other teams in a very close race, beating Findlay 26-25. Lake Erie had 24, while Toledo had 21 and Kent State 20. 

Starting off the show was jumping.  Carolyn McCurrach placed 5th in the Intermediate class. Moving onto Novice,Sydney Cox received a well deserved 1st place. Melissa Macechko also brought home another 1st place in the novice jumping.

In the flat, we started off with our Open Division. Carolyn McCurrach received 3rd place. Rebecca McCrea placed 1st in the intermediate and is also now qualified for regionals on March 4th at Columbus. Melissa Macechko received 4th place in the novice and was tied for Reserve High Point Rider. Lindsay Weiser also received a 3rd place for our Novice Division. Emily Boersen left her Beginning Walk, Trot, Canter Division with a well deserved 2nd place. Alexis Williams was last but of course not least in our Walk, Trot Division. She brought us home a 4th place.

Great job to the Tiffin University Equestrian Team for a great end to the Hunt show Season.
