The Tiffin University Equestrian Team had eight riders named to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association All-Academic First Team, and five riders named to the All-Academic Second Team.

The purpose of the IHSA National All-Academic Award is to recognize the individual academic achievements of participating athletes each year. IHSA riders are named to the All-Academic First Team or All-Academic Second Team when they have been nominated by their coach and have participated in a at least one regular season IHSA horse show during the academic year. First Team is given to those who achieve a grade point average of 3.8 or higher, and second Team goes to grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the 2016/2017 season.

First Team honors: Emily Boersen, Kaitlyn Borer, Taylor Clawson, Calysta Herniter, Morgan Hixenbaugh, Melissa Macechko, Carolyn McCurrach, and Alexis Wobser.

Second team honors: Maan Alsubhi, Kier Scott, Morgan Lynch, Taylor McCluskey, and Rebecca McCrea.
