The Tiffin University baseball team went 2-1 on day two against Hillsdale, losing the suspended game from yesterday's doubleheader 10-9, then winning the next two games 4-2 and 3-1.

The Dragons improve to 17-14 overall and 12-4 in the conference, while the Chargers fall to 13-18 overall and 6-10 in the conference.

Game Two:
The Chargers started off the contest strong with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. Then with the bases loaded, a walk increased their lead to 3-0.

Tiffin responded with a six-run third inning. Danny Donnelly singled to start the rally followed by a walk from Aidan Grabowski to put two runners on base as Marino Pugnetti singled to score Donnelly from second. With runners on the corners, Griffin Stevens singled to score Grabowski to cut the visitor lead to 3-2. Tim Orr then singled to load up the bases, Nich Green hit a 2-run double to score Pugnetti and Stevens to take a 4-2 lead. Two batters later TJ Truso came to bat with runners at first and third, hitting an RBI single to give the Dragons a 6-2 lead over Hillsdale.

The Dragons held their lead until the fifth inning when the Chargers scored three runs on four hits to tie the game at 6-6. Tiffin responded in the bottom of the fifth as Orr singled to start the inning and a sacrifice bunt from Green moved Orr to second. Cal Brazier doubled to score Orr to take a one-run lead. Truso's single was able to score Brazier to lead 8-6 after five innings.

Hillsdale added three more runs in the sixth inning with four hits and one error to lead 9-8. In the bottom of the sixth, Pugnetti was walked, then Stevens reached on a throwing error, and Orr was walked to load the bases. A wild pitch scored Pugnetti to tie the game at 9-9.

After the suspended game resumed, Hillsdale started the day with a homer to take a 10-9 lead to win game two of the four-game series.

Logan Fisher started the game and pitched 4.1 innings, allowed five runs on four hits, and had two strikeouts. Andrew Siler took the loss as he pitched in the top of the seventh and gave up the lone run on the home run.

TJ Truso led the offense going 2-for-4 with two RBI, Nich Green went 1-for-2, scored one run, and had two RBI, and Tim Orr went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

Game Three:
Strong pitching from both teams set this one to be a low-scoring affair as the Dragons went on to win 4-2.

Tiffin got on the board first as two singles by Brazier and Truso and a Kole Klasic walk loaded the bases for Zach Campbell who took advantage and hit a grand slam home run to right field to take a 4-0 lead.

Hillsdale scored two in the top of the sixth to cut the Dragons' lead in half but good pitching gave the Dragons the 4-2 win in game three.

Michael Boswell recorded his fourth win of the season as he pitched 6.0 innings, allowed two runs on four hits, and tallied nine strikeouts. Mat Carden recorded the save as he pitched 1.0 inning, allowed no hits, no runs, and had three strikeouts.

Game Four:
In the final game of the series, Tiffin got on the board first in the bottom of the second as TJ Truso led off the inning with a double to right field. Zach Campbell was walked with the last pitch getting by the catcher, allowing Truso a free run home to lead 1-0.

Hillsdale tied up the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning, as it scored on a throwing error by the Dragons' catcher.

After two scoreless innings from both teams, Tiffin broke the deadlock in the sixth inning. Klasic singled through the left side to get one base, and Campbell then singled up the middle. Both runners advanced on a passed ball. With runners on second and third Griffin Stevens hit a double to left-center field to score Campbell from third to take a 3-1 lead.

Tyler Wehrle pitched a complete game, going 9.0 innings, allowing one unearned run, four hits, and tallying 11 strikeouts.
