The Tiffin University baseball team took a pair of games from Lake Erie on April 12, and will look to sweep the four game set tomorrow. This coming weekend is Alumni Weekend for the Tiffin University baseball program, and the Eagles of Ashland University will come to town.

Tiffin vs. Lake Erie College

Location: Heminger Field - 2375 County Road 26, Tiffin, Ohio 44883  

Weather Pushes Storm to Tuesday - The two games against Lake Erie will be played tomorrow afternoon. The games were originally scheduled for Wednesday, but due to incoming weather the games were moved up.

GLIAC Series Record - Since the 2008-09 season, Lake Erie holds a 17-12 lead.

Scuffling Storm - Lake Erie has had a tough go this season, posting a 9-26 record thus far. Pitching has been the culprit for the Storms' struggle this season, with opponents hitting .334.

ERA Rising: Lake Erie has a team 8.03 team ERA, dead last in the GLIAC and 245th of 259 NCAA Division II teams. The Storm are surrendering 8.34 runs per game to the opposition.

Riding the Merry-Go-Round: Lake Erie has allowed 292 runs this season, 35 more than the next closest GLIAC institution. In the earned runs department, the Storm have surrendered 240 runs, 29 more than the next closest school. 

Tiffin vs. Ashland University 

Series Record - Since 2007-08, Ashland holds a 26-8 lead.

Unfamiliar Territory - Ashland sits three games out of last place in the GLIAC. The Eagles are 6-13 in conference play, and 13-22 overall. 

Swing and A Miss: Ashland is tied for the lead in strikeouts as a team with 274. The Eagles have struck out 157 more times than they have walked.

Topsy Turvy: Ashland's pitching has been their strong suit historically, but this season has been the exact opposite. The Eagles have posted a 6.50 earned run average, 9th in the GLIAC and 1.73 runs higher than last season.

Tiffin: The Dragons are in a critical stretch of their schedule, currently tied for 4th in the GLIAC. Tiffin is 5-5 over their last 10 games, and their remaining opponents have a combined 55-78 overall record.
