Dr. George Kidd, Jr.

Dr. George Kidd, Jr. served as the third President of Tiffin University from 1981-2002. He oversaw the growth in enrollment at the university from 325 students at the beginning of his tenure to 1600 students in 2002, while also building and expanding the campus. That expansion was evident in athletic facilities, as the Gillmor Student Center, the Hanson Physical Fitness Center, and the Paradiso Athletic Fields were all created and developed during his administration. The number of athletic teams also greatly expanded during this time, with 12 new sports offered to student-athletes after 1981. His degrees include a BS in Finance and MBA from Drexel University; an MA in Economic History from the University of Pennsylvania; a Certificate-Institute for Educational Management from Harvard; an L.L.D.  from Baker College; a D.H.L. from the Indiana Institute of Technology and a D.H.C. from the University of Bucharest, Romania. He and his wife Diane reside in Hancock, New Hampshire.
