Jenavi Alejandro's pursuit of a national championship continued at the NCWWC National Championships as she reached the semifinals.

Alejandro won her two matches on day one of the national championships and must win two more matches to claim the national title at 101 pounds.

She defeated East Stroudsburg 10-0 in her opener and then outpointed Colorado Mesa 8-5 to reach the semis. She will now face Lizette Rodriguez of McKendree in the semifinal matchup.

Tiffin's other three qualifiers fell in their matches.

Tatiana Bermudez (136) lost to North Central by fall in 33 seconds and to Emmanuel in 57 seconds. 

Erin Martin (170) lost to Texas Womens University 13-3 and then fell to Chadron in a close match 5-0.

Finally, Alexia Swisher (191) lost to Sacred Heart via pin in 20 seconds and to Emmanuel in 48 seconds.
