Tiffin University's women's wrestling team opened its 2022-23 season with competition at the East Stroudsburg Open.

The Dragons, who placed 7th of 16 teams, had four placers. Jenavi Alejandro (109 pounds) and Mackenzie Buck (130) took fourth place, while Michal Buska (136) and Taryn Martin (170) placed fifth.

Alejandro opened with a pin over Scorpions and an unattached 16-4 win before falling to King and Gannon via pin.

Buck posted a forfeit win over Western New England before falling to East Stroudsburg 10-0 and Sacred Heart 12-0.

Buska had two pins over Montreat while also falling to Sacred Heart 12-0, losing unattached 12-1, and getting pinned by Sacred Heart.

Martin opened with a 10-0 loss to King but then pinned Alvernia and tech falled Elmira 14-2. She also beat Gannon 10-0.

Other Dragons posting wins were Erin Martin (155) by pin over ESU; Paige Lenhardt (143) by pin over Montreat; Sidney Ramos (155) by pin over Alvernia, injury victory, and tech fall over Sacred Heart 10-0; and Tatiana Bermudez (136) by pin over Hiram.
