Dragons rise to 7th in national rankings heading to National Championships

Heading to the WCWC National Championships in Adrian, Michigan, Tiffin University's women's wrestling team rose a spot to 7th in the national rankings.

King continued to lead the nation with 120 points, while McKendree was second with 113 points. Tiffin (29 points) was one of just two teams in the Top 10 that rose in the latest ranking, as Colorado Mesa also went from 7th to 5th.

Olivia Shore (101 pounds) continued to be the nation's top-ranked grappler in her weight class, while three other TU wrestlers were nationally ranked. Overall she is 23-1 with 13 pins.

Solana Mottola (130) was ranked 6th. She boasts a 27-8 record with 15 pins. Her 27 wins lead the team while her 15 pins are second.

Nia Miranda (143) came in 7th in the latest poll. She is 26-7 with a team-best 6 tech falls along with 9 pins.

Taylor Hites was 8th at 155 pounds. She boasts a 26-9 record with a team-best 16 pins.
