Tiffin University's Gold squad finished second at the Patriot Duals hosted by the University of the Cumberlands.

The Dragons opened with a 35-11 win over Eastern Oregon, setting up a championship match against Campbellsville Black. TU came up just short in the title match, falling 24-21 with some late defeats.

In the opener against Eastern Oregon, Grace Jones (116) picked up the lone pin in 1:33, with three other Dragons getting tech fall wins. Shanna Morris (101) won 14-4, Solana Mottola (130) won 12-1, and Nia Miranda (143) won 10-0. Olivia Shore (109) gutted out a 3-1 win, Taylor Hites (155) also won a close match 3-2, and Stephanie Mondragon (123) and Hollie Espinoza (191) won by forfeit.

Against Campbellsville, the Dragons started strong, winning the first four weight classes. Morris won 6-0, Shore got a forfeit win, and Jones (0:45) and Mottola (2:06) got pins. After Mondragon lost via pin and Michal Buska (136) fell via tech fall, the unexpected happened at 143 pounds when Miranda lost her footing while leading and got caught in a pin at 2:13. Hites bounced back to put TU on the brink of victory with a 4-3 victory, but TU dropped the final two matches, with Taryn Martin (170) losing by fall in 4:58 and Espinoza getting outpointed 10-0 to end it.

TU's Green team took 3rd place in the Gray Pool, falling to Emmanuel 25-18 before finishing with a 18-5 win over Lliberty.

Getting wins against Emmanuel were Sairra Tapp at 130 (fall 1:15), Paige Lenhardt at 143 (forfeit), Aliya Martin at 155 (7-0), and Morgan Davidson at 170 (forfeit).

Against Liberty, TU won the final four weight classes to get the win. Tapp won 10-0, Lenhardt got a pin in 2:05, Martin outpointed her opponent 10-0, and Davidson got a pin in 2:40.
