Tiffin University fell behind early but battled back, pulling out a victory in their final weight class in defeating East Stroudsburg 23-20.

The Dragons, ranked 9th in the latest Division II rankings, suffered tough setbacks in their first two matches to fall behind early. Both Trinity Oredina (101) and Sugey Ceja (109) had solid leads early in their matches but got caught out of position and were pinned as ESU jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead.

Shanna Morris (116) got a narrow 5-4 win to get TU on the board and pull the Dragons to within 11-3. Savannah Stacks (123) got a forfeit win next to pull TU to within 11-8.

Stephanie Mondragon (130) fell 10-0 but was picked up by Eunique Davis (136), who demolished her opponent with a pin in just 6 seconds. TU still trailed 15-13 heading into the final three matches.

Ariah Snyder (143) lost via fall, putting TU in a 20-13 hole with just two matches left. The 191 pound weight class was going to be a double forfeit, so Tiffin needed to make its move in the next two matches to pull it out.

Taylor Hites (155) held up her end by flattening her opponent in 1:57, giving TU a shot trailing 20-18.

The Dragons finally took the lead and the victory when Jessie Lee (170) picked up a strong win by fall as Tiffin finished with the three-point win.
