Tiffin University had the lead early against Adrian College but dropped matches late to fall 25-21 in an exciting women's wrestling match in the Gillmor Center.

Tiffin benefited from two forfeit victories at 101 and 116 pounds. Following a 11-1 loss by Jaelyn Fazio (109), Sugey Ceja (123) blasted her way to a 10-0 victory to give the Dragons a solid 15-4 lead.

Five consecutive wins by Adrian, however, put the Dragons in a hole they could not climb out of. Adrian powered its way to consecutive wins at 130 pounds (win by fall over Shanna Morris), 136 pounds (10-0 loss by Savannah Stacks), and 143 pounds (14-4 win over Ariah Snyder).

The pivotal match came at 155 pounds, where Taylor Hites took on Megan Vondrasek. Hites led early and never trailed until Vondrasek was credited with a reversal as time ran out to escape with the 8-7 victory.

After Sidney Ramos (170) fell by pin, Adrian's lead was insurmountable. That didn't stop Jessie Lee (191), however, who finished the night off by powering through her opponent for an 11-0 win.
