Tiffin Suffers Semifinal Defeat to ODU
The Dragons (18-14) fell behind 2-0 and were unable to recover, suffering a 3-1 loss to Ohio Dominican in the G-MAC Semifinal match.
 
Both the first and second sets were close throughout, being tied 18-18 late on. However, the Panthers went on solid runs to end both sets, earning a favorable 2-0 lead for the match.
 
TU did not back down as they continued to battle through the third set. Trailing 21-19, the Dragons sparked a 6-1 run to end the set and pull one back, making it 2-1 in favor of ODU.
 
The Panthers buckled down and strung together a big run in the middle of set four to take a seven-point advantage which they held until the end to punch their ticket to the championship match.
 
First Team All-Conference selection Kenedi Goon led the team in kills with 14 on .324 percent hitting. She added eight digs and was followed by Wakaya Wilson with 10 kills and nine digs, just shy of a double-double.
 
Alivia Rew tallied nine kills and a team-high five total blocks. Addison Conti racked up 31 assists on the night and added eight digs while Olivia Karhoff led the way with 21 digs in total.
 
The Dragons season comes to an end with an overall record of 18-14 and their second-consecutive G-MAC Semifinal appearance, led by first-year head coach Alexa Wharton. TU also ended the regular season ranked second in the nation in total blocks.
