The Tiffin University volleyball team (4-5, 0-1 GMAC) fell to the Cedarville Yellow Jackets 3-1.
TU fell 25-19, 24-26, 25-19, and 25-15. Cedarville outhit the Dragons .264 to .214.
Cedarville built a steady 15-10 lead in the first set, but TU bounced back to come within one of the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville kept the lead and won set one 25-19.
In set two, Tiffin jumped out to an early lead at 4-2, but the host fought back to take a 10-8 lead. The turning point in set two was when the Dragons went on a 7-1 run to retake the lead at 21-17. Cedarville was able to tie it at 24-24, but the Dragons won the next two points to win the set 26-24.
The host had a great start to set three, going up 9-1 early. Tiffin never gave up and went on an 8-2 run to cut the Yellow Jackets' lead down to 22-17. Cedarville outlasted Tiffin and took the third set 25-19.
The two teams were fighting hard for each point and ended up tied at 6-6, but the Yellow Jackets went on a 5-0 run to lead 11-7. Cedarville kept their momentum and went on to win the final set 25-15.
Kenedi Goon led the Dragons' offense, recording 11 kills with a .179 hitting percentage, four digs, and two block assists, Wakaya Wilson also had 11 kills with a .154 hitting percentage, seven digs, and one block assist, and Alivia Rew tallied seven kills with a .700 hitting percentage, one service ace, six digs, and three block assists.
Diana Heitkamp registered 18 digs and teammate Clare Kwiatkowski had a team-high 20 assists.
