Dragons Swept by Oilers 3-0

The Tiffin University volleyball squad lost 3-0 to GMAC rival Findlay.

The Oilers improve to 12-6 overall and 8-2 in the GMAC, while the Dragons fall to 11-13 overall and 5-5 in the GMAC.

The Oilers jumped out to an 11-6 lead in the first set and extended their lead to as much as 20-9 until the Dragons went on an 8-2 run to bring the score to 22-17. Findlay outlasted the Tiffin late surge and won set one 25-17. 

Findlay came out strong in the second set going up 10-5 early. A strong offensive effort by the host saw them lead 18-7, the Dragons countered with a 5-2 run to come within eight of the Oilers, but the host went on to win set two 25-14.

In the third set, the Oilers kept up the pressure and jumped out to a 12-4 lead. The Dragons fought to get back in the game but the Oilers were able to outlast Tiffin and won the set 25-14.

Josie Reinhart led the Dragons with 6.5 points with six kills, three digs, one assist, and one block assist, Kenedi Goon tallied four kills and one block assist, and Loryn Huffman registered 20 assists, nine digs, and two kills with a .333 hitting percentage.
