No. 19 Volleyball Hosts Cedarville and Ohio Valley

The Tiffin University volleyball team went 2-0 last week with wins over Ky. Wesleyan and Malone. The Dragons will host Cedarville on Tuesday, Feb. 16 for a 7 p.m. start. Next, the team will face Ohio Valley on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin went 2-0 last week with wins over Ky. Wesleyan and Malone. The Dragons are third in the conference in opponent hitting percentage holding them to .090 percent, third in assists with 12.48 per set, third in digs with 18.61 per set, and fourth in the conference in kills with 13.17 per set.  

Grace Schreiber is ninth in the conference in points per set with 3.67, fourth in the conference in hitting percentage at .382, and tenth in the conference in kills per set at 3.00. 

Loryn Huffman is second in the conference in assists averaging 11.22 per set and teamate Sam Fallis is second in the conference in digs with 5.65 per set.

 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets

The Yellow Jackets went 1-0 last week with a win over Findlay.

Cedarville is ranked fifth in the conference in hitting percentage, second in assists averaging 12.65 per set, second in blocks per set at 2.47, and third in kills per set at 13.35.

The Yellow Jackets are led by Lauren Willow who averages 3.47 points per set with a .429 hitting percentage, and 0.71 blocks per set, followed by Liene Miller who averages 3.91 points per set and 3.65 digs per set.

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Yellow Jackets 5-1, with their last meeting on Oct. 25, 2019 when the Dragons won 3-0. 

 

Scouting the Scots

Ohio Valley is 0-6 so far this season and is fourth in the conference in service aces. 

The Scots are led by Yolaine Mosquera Lopez who averages 3.58 points per set with a .288 hitting percentage while teammate Jessica Rafay averages 3.09 points per set with a .287 hitting percentage and .70 blocks per set. 

Kalyn Mikomoto leads the Scots in digs per set with 5.0 and Alyssa DeSplinter leads the Scots with 6.42 assists per set.  

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Scots 2-0, their last meeting came on Oct. 5, 2019, the Dragons took a 3-0 win.
