The Tiffin University volleyball team went 1-1 last week with a win over Lake Erie. The Dragons will head to Ky. Wesleyan on Wednesday, Feb. 10 for a 2 p.m. start. Next, the team will head to Malone on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin has had a fine start to the 2021 season with three wins against Ursuline, Trevecca Nazarene, and Lake Erie.  

The Dragons are first in the conference in digs per set averaging 20.21, fourth in the conference in opponent hitting percentage, holding opponents to .137, and fourth in the conference in assists averaging 11.86 assists per set. 

Grace Schreiber is ninth in the conference in points per set with 3.57, sixth in the conference in hitting percentage at .352, and tenth in the conference in kills per set at 2.93.

Loryn Huffman is second in the conference in assists averaging 10.86 per set and tenth in the conference in digs per set at 3.71. Sam Fallis leads the conference in digs with 5.71 per set and is tenth in the conference in service aces at .57 per set. 

 

Scouting the Panthers

The Storm are 1-1 in their last two games with a win over Ohio Valley.

Ky. Wesleyan is ranked fourth in the conference in service aces, fourth in opponent digs (holding them to 15.87 per set), and third in opponent kills per set with 10.73.

The Panthers are led by Lilly Trump who averages 3.0 points per set, 2.5 kills per set, and 0.40 service aces per set. Nilah Roy leads the team in digs averaging 5.67 per set and teammate Ava Rebarchik leads the team in blocks with 0.50 blocks per set.    

The Dragons lead the all-time series against the Storm 7-1, with their last meeting on Nov. 7, 2019 when the Dragons won 3-0. 

 

Scouting the Pioneers

Malone is 1-4 so far this season with a win over Ohio Valley

The Pioneers rank second in the conference in opponent digs per set holding them to 15.06.

Malone is led by Anna Mallette who averages 3.96 points per set, 3.69 kills per set with a .220 hitting percentage followed by Taylor Small who averages 2.25 kills per set with a .143 hitting percentage. 

Kristen Hankins leads the team in blocks with .50 per set and teammate Molly Bullion leads the team in digs with 3.13 per set.  

The Pioneers lead the all-time series against the Dragons 9-7, with their last meeting coming on Nov. 16, 2019 in a 3-0 TU win.
